In June, the AdTherM competence centre held its first Summer School, a one-week course at LTH on Heat Transfer and Reactive Flows.

The course focused on further advancing participants’ knowledge of heat transfer and reactive flows in industrial environments, covering topics such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), heat transfer and radiation, turbine combustion, and experimental techniques.

Throughout the week, presenters from both academia and industry delivered lectures and seminars exploring fundamental principles as well as the latest technical challenges and innovations in the field. In addition, students had the opportunity to take part in study visits and lab tours at Alfa Laval, Ericsson, Tetra Pak, and LTH, offering insights into practical applications of the course content. As an outcome, the Summer School provided a unique platform for PhD students and industrial partners to broaden their technical expertise, exchange ideas, and establish networks with fellow researchers. The next course, on the topic of Multiphase Flow, will be held at KTH in 2026.
